How you can help

For those with ALS, freedom comes in all shapes and sizes – from a wheelchair, to an understanding mentor, to increased understanding of the disease. They are truly moved by your support, because it means they don’t have to be confined by ALS. You CAN help provide independence, dignity, choice and hope to someone living with ALS.

Philosophy of Volunteer Involvement

Built on volunteerism, the ALS Society of Prince Edward Island recognizes and affirms the involvement of volunteers at all levels of the organization as a vital component to achieving its mission. The ALS Society of Prince Edward Island encourages the participation of all people regardless of race, ancestry, place of origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, age, religious beliefs, location or health in contributing to and building their community and the ALS Society of Prince Edward Island through the act of volunteering. ALS Prince Edward Island is committed to supporting and nurturing volunteerism by providing guidance, resources and recognition to all volunteers in a mutually beneficial relationship.
Volunteers give freely of their time and expertise in order to make a difference.
